On January 23, 2008, Specialist Steven A. Ringuette, a member of the 927 MP Company of the United States Army, was home on leave and stopped in to thank Ms. Diana House’s Kindergarten class at the Dr. Fredrick N. Sweetsir School for the Christmas cards they made and sent to his company in December.

Spec. Ringuette is also a member of the Merrimac Police Department and the son of Merrimac Police Officer Stephen M. Ringuette.  While thanking the students, he spoke to them about what it is like to be in Iraq and showed them on a map where Iraq is located in the World which was in cunjunction with the school’s Social Studies curriculum. 

Spec. Ringuette spoke to the class the day before he was scheduled to return to his unit in Iraq to complete an 8 month tour of duty.
